You can't go wrong with this card.

I took a trip to Europe last summer and I have used this card to redeem points for my flight and hotel. It was very quick and easy to used and best of all I earn 1 points for per 1 dollars on the purchases that I have made on the trip. I would highly recommend this card if you are traveling.

The everyday credit card

The travel rewards card is a good card. It was 0%APR for 15 months. Then APR went to 19%. The credit card provides points per purchase. These points can be used in exchange for gift cards, cash, or travel costs. The only difference is that you get more money for your points if you use it on a travel purchase rather than choosing to get cash back. Bank of America is also very good at calling you and placing the card on hold when there are very large or odd purchases. This is sometimes an issue as they decide what is out of ordinary enough of a purchase for them to put a hold on the card. The card can be paid for online which makes banking simpler. The credit company is very helpful in raising the maximum credit on the card if you have good credit. All in all, the card is good for those just looking for an everyday credit card.

Great card for travelers!

Bank of America Travel Rewards MasterCard has been one of my favorite cards so far. It has great travel rewards with pretty good benefits. It's customer service has been outstanding. And anytime i need anything, I am welcomed with pleasant reps. Applied for the card online and was instantly approved for CL $2000. Overall, I had great experiences with the card - I received the 10,000 bonus points ($100), received 1.5 points per purchase, and can get up to 3pts per dollar by shopping via the Travel Center. I planned to use this card for travel this summer, and needed a way to get away from foreign transaction fees. That being said, this card, as with any card, comes with a couple of strengths and weaknesses: Strengths: - 10% annual bonus if you have a Bank of America checking or savings account - 1.5pts per dollar on all other purchases can be translated to 1.5% "cash back" (provided that you redeem your points for travel purchases as a statement credit), which is a plus considering you'd get 1.5% instead of the common 1% cash back with most cards. - 10,000 bonus points ($100) when you spend $500 in the first 90 days - No annual fee (many cards charge $95 / year) - No foreign transaction fee Weaknesses: - The Online Travel Center has a lot of bugs/glitches and appears dated. - Limited selection of airlines to book flights via the travel center. - Difficult to get approved; must have excellent credit. - They advertise 2500 points = redeem for $25. But know that you can redeem the exact $25 toward eligible travel purchases as a statement credit. If you want to redeem for cash, you won't redeem the full $25 but $15. Overall it's a great card to use if you want the 1.5x points instead of the standard 1x / 1% back. Also a great card if you are a loyal BoA customer and want to avoid the annual fee that is common with travel cards. While there are several weaknesses, I cannot complain much, especially considering that there is no annual fee to this card. I highly recommend it.

Great Card for BofA customers

I've had this card for a few months and I love it - a base rewards rate of 1.5% cash back on all purchases, plus a $200 sign up bonus, no foreign transaction fees, all for free! This deal is even better for BofA customers which I am - if you have BofA/Merrill Edge accounts, you get 10% more (1.65% cash back), if you have more than $20k in those accounts you get 25% more (1.88% cash back), and even better reward rates at $50k+ and $100k+! (Make sure you opt in to Preferred Rewards if you qualify!) I'm new to credit so initially my application was under review, and then I was only approved for a limit of just $3k - BUT I called the Preferred customer line to get it raised and then was instantly approved for a $10k limit. The other issue I've had was that even though I am a Gold Preferred customer and selected to opt in to the higher rewards rate, it didn't kick in right away (I just had the 10% booster) and I had to call to get it resolved. Also, as other people have mentioned, their website is not very user-friendly. I have not figured out a way to set up auto pay for my full balance every month from my checking account, so I've had to manually set up a transfer and type in the full balance every month which is annoying. That all said - this card makes so much financial sense, especially for me due to the 1.9% rewards rate I get. And, I never need to close this card since it has no annual fee. I'm noticing some people are confused about how to use the point/rewards. The way to get the full value of your points is to apply it as a statement credit to past travel purchases (which BofA defines VERY broadly). As a statement credit the points are a one to one ratio to cash: 1 point = $0.01. You should not even consider redeeming the points for a gift card or cash deposit.

Great card for travelers

I really like this card because it is easy to use internationally for multiple reasons including that it has a chip. Most of my cards are Visa and I enjoy diversifying my wallet with a MasterCard. I travel a lot so travel rewards are important to me, and you do not have to pay a yearly fee, which is really ideal for me. I have not had an issue with this card to date.

Good travel card if you hate annual fees

I was thinking about not renewing my old grandfathered World Points card with BOA since it expires soon and the points earned were below average (1 point for $1 dollar). Then I saw an advertisement for the new BOA travel rewards card and was happy it had no annual fee and decent ponts. Since I had an account with BOA, I asked customer service if I could upgrade and not take a hard inquire. They said yes, but at a higer interest rate (10% to 19% after the first year). Not too happy about that, but after going over the details and pros vs cons I agreed. I get 1.65 travel points for every $1 dollar spent on anything because I have a Merill Edge account with them (it would be 1.5 points if I did not). I get 3 points if I use the BOA travel web portal (they charge 20% higher than Orbitz). I also get $200 travel bonus if I spend $1,000 in the first 3 months. I got the card at a great time because I will be traveling a lot in the next 2 years for college graduations and work events. I'm already on pace to hit the bonus in the first month due to a work related training, and I will be reimburst for it too. You can redeem for cash as well, but beginning at 4167 points for $25. It is primarily designed to discount your travel expenses.

Good secured card, average travel card

I obtained this card with no credit historty by putting a security depoit down against this card. As a B of A account holder this was an excellent starter card with a decent web interface. I have used the card overseas with no issue (aside from lack of contactless payment) but have yet to dispute any transactions so I can't really comment there.
