Security is a drag.

I had poor credit, so I had to apply for a secured card after being knocked back for various other ones. That’s a bit of a drag considering my CL is so low but I’ve got the card now, and am working toward building my credit up.

Helping my credit, very slowly.

I’ve had this card about 11 months now. I thought I’d apply for a secured card to better my chances of getting approved, which I did. My FICO has slowly improved, but it’s been slow and my CL has only increased slightly despite my FICO having increased. I was hoping my CL would better reflect my FICO but oh well.

Good card.

I had trouble getting a credit card, not because I had bad credit but because I’d not had credit before so I had no history. I thought rather than apply everywhere I’d just cough up a deposit and get a secured card. The application process wasn’t as easy as I thought, and it was time consuming but I heard that’s to be expected with secured cards. My patience paid off, because I’ve now got the card and am well on my way to building myself some credit history.
