Follow these 3 simple steps to better manage your credit cards!
1. Make full payment a few days before due date
Credit bureaus check your balances once a month close to your payment date. For your credit score, it’s better if your Credit Balance to Limit Ratio is low so that you get the highest possible score on the Credit Balance to Limit Ratio.
2. You can have a credit card in another bank
You have a checking account with Chase but you are not sure whether you can get a Barclays credit card. Do you need to have a checking account with Barclays? Of course not! You just open a Barclays credit card, you set up payment with your Chase checking account automatically and you are good to go!
3. Take advantage of Return Protection
You bought a TV and you realize you don’t need it anymore after 36 days but you can’t return it after 30 days according to the store Terms & Conditions. There is a solution! Check with your credit card as most of the quality credit cards offer extended return protection. Check the terms but you should be able to return your expensive TV right away!
