Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

Pretty good card

This is one of the first credit cards that I had. It is a pretty good card. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take full advantage of the point system because I don't travel that frequently. Aside from that, it is a great card and it helped me get some car repairs at a reasonable (compared to other cards) interest rate. It also helped build my credit. The customer service was quite good and answered all of my questions.

Best credit card I've ever gotten

This has to be the best credit card I've ever gotten. The customer service is outstanding! I think everytime I call, the wait time is pretty much instant. The point system is awesome and the coverage for usage is well worth the annual fee. No more worrying about fraud, car rental insurance, or foreign transaction fees.

This card is great

This card is great. I got 590 dollars cash back after I spent 4k and added an AU to my account. That along with the 1% cash back, yielding me essentially 20% back on my 4k of spending. I love it, I can not complain. I will cancel the card when the AF comes up. Only used the card for the sign on bonus.

Very Good Card

Very good card, easy application process, I love the fact that there's no transaction fees abroad, because I do alot of traveling. The interest rate is really low for me around 15 percent, the chase account management online is really smooth. I think this is one of my favorite cards hands down, especially for traveling.

Pros and cons

One thing I like very much about the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card is that you have a 21 day grace period. A lot of credit cards that I have looked at have a grace period of 10 days or less. One thing that i dislike about the card is the fact that there is no online response. I don't like that if I were to apply for the card that I would not be able to get an answer immediately and would have to wait for a response in the mail probably 7-10 days later.

Offers many perks!

The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card offers many perks in comparison to some of its competitors of a similar type. 40,000 bonus points can be earned by spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months. Add a preauthorized user and make a purchase in the first 3 months and that is another 5,000 bonus points! However, if a person doubts they can spend $3,000 so quickly and their main enticement for enrolling is bonus points, then there may be better options. The Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card by American Express offers a slightly smaller bonus point of 30,000, but there is only a requirement of $1,000 being spent in the first 3 months after enrolling. The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card has a competitive APR of 15.99% (V) after the enrollment period. Other similar credit cards have slightly higher APR’s and the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card offers an APR of 15.24, 17.24, or 19.24 based on creditworthiness. The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card also offers a better APR for cash advances of 19.24% compared to the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card’s 25.24%. Sure there is an eyebrow raising annual fee, but that isn't until after the first year. For credit cards with perks like these, annual fees are completely understandable!
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

The reason I got the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card was for the amazing bonus offer. I opened the account to receive the 40,000 bonus points for traveling. I paid my grad school tuition with the card within three months of opening the card and received the 40,000 bonus points. With the points I was able to buy two, two way plane tickets to Los Angeles for free. I also really like the 1 point per dollar spent bonus because in the eight months between opening the card and going to California, I was able to get over $100 cash back.

Highly recommend this card

I've had this Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card for over a year now and I love it. This is one of the best rewards program that I've come across, especially since I love to travel. Not only do you get 40,000 points after spending $4000 within the first 4 months, but these points are redeemable for $500 in travel when booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards, or $400 in cash. What's great about the Chase Sapphire rewards program is that they have partnered with a number of hotel and airline companies. This means that the Ultimate Rewards points are transferable 1:1 to their partners' rewards and miles programs. I've flown a number of times on my points by transferring them to the Southwest Rapid Rewards and United Mileage Plus programs. This is a great card and even though there's an annual fee, I think the rewards are worth the cost.
